Bio
Jess Buffett was
born and raised in New South Wales, Australia. She is married to a wonderful
and supportive husband and they live on the Central Coast with their two
children. Jess is a hopeless romantic who loves stories about true love that
sizzle with a happy ending. She is a huge fan of M/M and M/F romance—anything
with hunky men in all their glory, whether they be Shifters, Vampires, Cowboys,
or the boy next door. Jess believes in soul mates, happily ever afters, and in
love at first sight, but that sometimes people need a second or a third for the
brain to catch up.
Getting To Know This Weeks Feautered Author
Author Questions
Are you plot or character driven?
I try to stick with a plot, but my
characters have minds of their own.
Do you listen to music while writing? If
so, what kind?
Depend on the scene. Just the other day I
had Adam Lambert’s Tresspassing going
for one scene, and then the next moment I switched to Skillet’s Rebirthing. And I’m pretty sure
Disturb’s Down With The Sickness was
on after that.
Is there a particular genre you prefer to
write?
Paranormal. I’ve written a few
contemporary, but I love my paranormal.
Do you have a favourite character from your
books?
I know I shouldn’t, that it’s like having a
favourite child, but I love my Riley.
Reader Questions
What are your favourite genres to read
from?
Paranormal. Don’t care whether it’s M/M or
M/F, I love the idea of the impossible. There aren’t as many boundries when you
add the supernatural.
What are your comfort reads when you are
sick or feeling low?
I usually head for anything from Amber
Kell, Stephani Hecht, Gabrielle Evans or Lynn Hagen. They always give me what I need when I need
a pick me up.
Do you have a favourite character from
another author?
Shane Leopard from Stephani Hecht’s Lost
Shifters series and Romeo from Sage Marlowe’s Romeo and Julian series.
What’s the one book you can’t live without
and why?
I have a paper back that has book 1 & 2 of
the Romeo and Julian series in it, so I’d choose that one. I love those boys,
and that world. I really enjoy the fact that even though I now know the outcome
of each story, it’s still interesting.

Riley's Vampire Prince
Riley McLeod has never gotten over the loss of his family to murderous Vampires, and often hides behind his sarcasm and carefree attitude. So imagine his shock he discovers he is not only mated to one, but his mate is the Prince of the Vaucluse Coven.
When Caleb Vaucluse arrived at the Hunter Clan, he never expected to meet his mate. His joy soon turns to devastation when he learns that Riley fears him. Caleb struggles to get past Riley’s defenses and prove that they are meant to be. Unfortunately just as they come together, pride and old wounds prove hard to overcome for the pair, and threaten to tear them apart for good.
As an enemy is revealed and more questions are raised, Caleb and Riley have a choice to make. Do they keep their pride and stand alone, or stand together and embrace the love fate gave to them?
